—Spring has definitely sprung here on Anna Maria Island, with temperatures reaching well into the 80s. Bait is starting to show back up in good form mostly stacking up on large, deep structures, this making it difficult to catch. But when you do have it the Snook bite is absolutely insane.
—Craig, Emma, and Mike were lucky enough to experience a incredible Snook bite, they caught over forty Snook between the three of them ranging from 20-30 inches. We released a total of five Snook in the slot range, which is 28-30 inches. A wonderful thing to see considering what out beautiful coast just endured.
—My crew also got to experience a school of Jack Crevalle ranging from 5 to 10 pounds, man do those thing pull some drag! A long with the Snook and Jack’s we are getting limits of Mangrove Snapper, a few Spotted Sea trout and some Flounder for the dinner table.
—If you are thinking about a fishing trip now is the time, so come on into Island Discount Tackle and book your adventure today. Until next week tight lines.
