—After a slow week, Anna Maria Island’s tarpon fishing has begun to heat back up again. The fish that had traveled offshore to spawn have returned, and they are HUNGRY.
—We have being fishing the beaches in the early morning with crabs and threadfin herring, then anchoring and chumming on the edges of passes and deep channels as the day progresses.
—They say there is nothing like fighting a silver king, and my clients and I have to agree. Once you fight a big tarpon and witness their acrobatic jumps, you’ll be hooked for life (no pun intended).
