—Although red grouper season will not be open until April 1st, my clients have still been able to catch plenty of snapper, flounder, porgies, and amberjack. Our trips offshore usually range from 3-30 miles, depending on the target species and the weather.
—We have been using live pinfish to catch grouper, and shrimp for the snapper, porgy, and flounder. The amberjack usually average around 20 pounds, and have been eating anything from jigs to frozen sardines.
—This nice mangrove snapper was caught 20 miles offshore while using live shrimp.
