Yhewww! It’s been hot!!

   Yhewww! has it been hot! and the fishing has been pretty spectacular as well. This week we accomplished a little bit of everything, plenty of Snook around the flats to be caught with a few nice Mangrove Snapper and flounder in the mix to take home for supper. There is also plenty of action on the bay reefs with a lot of Spanish Mackerel being caught. These fish are an absolute blast to catch, such an aggressive and fast fish. I also like to make Sashimi out of the larger Mackerel, very tasty.

   There are a ton of Tarpon and also a lot of boats fishing them. We managed to jump a few this week but none have been landed. Konnor did managed to get a huge Barracuda while we were tarpon fishing, every bit of 4 ft long. Konnor did a great job of sight fishing this cuda with a lure as they can be very finicky, they usually just follow the bait around but getting them to actually commit and eat the bait is a great feat.
