—A strange weather pattern last week with wind and rain in the mornings led to some action-packed inshore fishing.
—Fishing around inshore/nearshore structure, bridges, and docks produced good catches of mangrove snapper, flounder, gag grouper, and a few redfish. This seems to be that time of the summer when the snook and trout fishing starts to heat up.
—These fish are finishing their spawning cycles offshore, and are returning to the bay. The next month or so can be the hottest of the year, so fishing early and late is going to be the way to go.
