—Tarpon fishing has slowed down this week due to a few moon/tide/spawning changes, but should pick back up soon.

—In the meantime, the mangrove snapper bite has continued to be great. Live and dead pilchards have been the bait of choice, with the larger fish being caught during the strongest period of the tide. Besides being a very fun and strong fight on light tackle, they are some of the best-eating fish that swim!

—St. Pete/Tampa residents Kevin Williams & family caught their limit of big mangrove snapper today despite some rough conditions.
