—What a beautiful week we had here on Anna Maria Island, the fish seemed enjoy it as well. Our inshore charters this week managed a little bit of everything, from Snook, Sheephead, Redfish, and Black Drum.
Catch and Release Snook
—With warming waters our clients Bill, Nick, and Mark enjoyed getting a limit of sheep head for dinner and then a great catch and release Snook bite. Multiple fish from 25″ to 30″ all caught on Jumbo Shrimp on a 1/0 Owner Mutu circle hook and 25 lb Test fluorocarbon leader.
—Our Nearshore Charters had great experiences catching an assortment of reef fish, from Mangrove snapper, Sheephead, Porgy, , Triggerfish, groupers and a pile of Imperial Grey snapper up to 3 lbs. We were also lucky enough to sight fish for a few Triple Tail although they were all undersize this week, so we released them to fight another day.
